Alabama Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc.
Alabama Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc. (ABTR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the welfare of the Boston terrier dog breed. We serve the state of Alabama and assist other rescue groups in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and the Florida panhandle. ABTR takes Boston terriers regardless of age and/or medical condition, and places the dog in a foster home. Volunteer fosters provide loving homes where dogs are assessed for personality and training--allowing ABTR to make a great match both for the dog and approved adopters!
All dogs in our rescue are spayed/neutered (unless age or health issues prevent this at the time of adoption,) vaccinated, and all known medical conditions are addressed and treated as appropriate before being adopted out.
Potential adopters go through lengthy screening and education process before an application is approved. An adoption contract is completed, and post-placement follow-up is done. An adoption fee is charged to go towards the tremendous veterinary expenses incurred by ABTR. Generous donations from people like you provide financial support necessary to care for these homeless, abandoned, and sick Bostons.
You can help! Support ABTR by making a tax-deductible donation, foster or adopt, and share our information via social media.
