I picked Little Leslie up from the Apollo Animal
Clinic in Hunstville, Alabama, on November 6, 2003. He is malnourished,
frail, and ghastly thin, and prehaps three to four years old. His head
is full white with a small touch of black on left side of face. Leslie
is heartworm negative (great sigh of relief) and was given his immunizations
today at Dishman's Animal Clinic, Decatur, Alabama. Little Leslie has
a congenital birth defect know as hypospadius. This condition is uncommon
in dogs, and it is an abnormality of the penis that appears as an opening
of the meatus on the under side of the penis rather than at the end.
Leslie's urethea is about one centimeter from his rectum. His prepuce
never fused and remains fully layed open.
