Meet Catfish! He is a very handsome 7 year old Boston Terrier with
a large athletic build. Catfish weighs in at about 30lbs - all muscle
& kisses! His favorite pastime - outside of sitting with you on the
sofa - is to PLAY BALL! He will literally play to exhaustion. He is
so fond of his ball that he carries it around in the house with him -
never letting it completely out of his sight! Catfish is a big happy,
healthy fella, altered, up to date on all shots and on heartworm and
flea preventative.
Catfish is a summa cum laude graduate of obedience school and is
one of the best behaved dogs I have ever fostered! He knows many
commands and is completely housetrained and crate trained. He is such a
good boy, that he has not had much crate experience before coming into
rescue - and he's not too fond of it! Mr. Indepedence likes roam of the
house! But he is a great boy and is quite trustwworthy on his own.
Catfish has had some very unfortunate experiences
with other dogs in his past, most recently being repeatedly attacked by a
German Shepard. This experience has left Catfish understandly skitish
around new dogs. Once he knows a dog is not going to hurt him,
he relaxes and does just fine. He does not understand wild Boston
Terrier doggie-play, so is not suited for a home with a young playful
dog. He would do best in a calm home with either older, or stable
temperment dogs. He would also be fine as an only dog. His ideal owner
would be someone who understands his fear issues and makes Catfish's
safety and comfort their number one prioirty. Because of his love to
playing ball he will only be considered for a home with a fenced in
yard. Catfish is fine with cats.
