Hobo is a sweet old man that has spent the last few years on the streets trying to survive. He finally found a few people that would give him enough food to keep from starving. But he had no roof over his head and no warm, soft place to sleep or anyone to love him.
He is skinny and needs to gain some weight. Some good news is that despite being outside for years he is heartworm negative. He is being treated with antibiotics for possible bone infection in his lower jaw. It is possible that he had a broken jaw at one time that wasn't treated.
He was evidently someones pet at one time because he had been neutered and was housetrained. It will always be a mystery how this sweet soul ended up on his own. He is a true gentleman that needs someone to love him, give him good food and a warm place to sleep.
He gets along with other dogs but we're not sure about cats or young children.
Hobo's veterinary bills are already piling up so any help is greatly appreciated. Remember we can not continue to save these Bostons without your help!
Hobo says thank you for any donations. He says that before he had nothing, just a ditch to sleep in, but now he has lots of love and care, and maybe some change too from donations!

on 2010-06-25 19:04:24 Hobo has recently had a biopsy and has been diagnosed with cancer in his lower jaw. Please say prayers for this sweet boy that endured so much living alone on the streets without food, a warm bed or love. This little man is very much loved, wanted and recieves the best of care now. Hobo is truly what rescue is about.
