Hey! My name is Mattie and I am a 7 years young girl. I weigh around 20 pounds and I am perfectly healthy and very pretty! People say I am a Boston Chihuahua mix, but I say that I’m just Mattie and I’m looking for my own human to love. People are my favorite and I just love getting all the attention I can. I’ll tell you a little more about myself just so you can see why I’m the pup for you.

 I was given to ABTR as part of an owner-surrender, and let me tell you – it’s no fun having to leave your home. This is why I’m looking for someone who will make sure to love me and take care of me forever. Although I might technically not be a puppy anymore, I still am at heart. I am very active and love to run and play and I would love to have a huge yard to roll around in. My foster mom doesn’t have a yard, but she takes me out on a leash to the park all the time, and I’m learning not to pull so much and she says I’m a fast learner. I also know how to always wait to use the bathroom outside, and I even know how to sit! I’m also crate trained, and I don’t mind staying in it for a little while if you need me to.

 Right now I’m sharing a home with my foster brother Dexter, and just like siblings we get into a few quarrels, but most of the time we just play and have fun. He’s cool for now, but I think I would rather have a home where I was the only baby and I could get all the love and play with my human friends all the time instead. When I get excited I can get a little bouncy and stronger than I realize, so I think just older kids would be best for me. But don’t get me wrong – I’m not hyper all the time – I also make the best cuddle buddy. I love curling up and taking my naps and watching TV right along with you.

 Although I’ve had a rough past few months, you would never know. My motto is to just keep living life to the fullest, and that’s what I intend to do. Now I just need someone to share it with forever.
